What a week. Sunday I awoke to a recurrence of a back injury that has seen me bed ridden most of the week, unable to stand comfortably without a great deal of pain, and when I did move about the house I resembled the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
I returned to work this morning for what is just a half-day, I was so grateful for those Friday afternoons booked off for study as my back really needed it. As I was working this morning an email came in from my University informing me they’d restructured my course, I had to check what had changed, hoping nothing I wanted was affected , sadly not so.
The course had been wholly overhauled, where before it had three specialisation streams, there were now none, you had to study all units, including a mathematics unit I had absolutely no use for. A unit i was particularly interested in dealing with testing and quality was now gone, I’m gutted it is lost, not even available were I to do the Masters. If I exit early with the Graduate Certificate I miss out on the software engineering unit, I feel boxed in right now. One win in the new structure is learning Python, so not a total loss.
