It looks like Apple has finally listened to its users with features announced for iOS 16 due later this year. I’m particularly excited by changes announced to the Lock Screen and potential to finally be able change the two buttons for flash and camera, though do love the dimensionality of photos appearing in front of time.
I didn’t see in the announcement whether messages supported delayed sending, though see this is supported by looks of it in mail?? Hoping it may have been overlooked as this on Android is such a useful feature as not always is sending that SMS text convenient, or appreciated, when we think of it.
The idea of being able to edit and retract texts is nice, though clearly limits to iOS devices. The 15 minute window is a good idea as I wonder being this might there be implications for being able to delete texts with a legal implication.
Watching the Apple stream further for changes to macOS Ventura, I was slightly underwhelmed by the Stage Manager feature. Stage Manager looked to be of limited use for those like myself who run apps in full screen mode and more gimmicky. Yet to check out iPadOS changes, though understand it misses out on iOS Lock Screen changes, not sure why Apple seems to treat them differently.
