It’s been months since we were mandated to wear masks in Western Australia as result of COVID-19 coming to the state, for me this has meant having to work from home as I struggled to breathe when wearing for long periods, the humid air resulting in regular colds.
Finally this week the government has decided tomorrow we will go mask-free, despite COVID-19 still being active here with 8,000-9,000 cases per day being reported, they believe we’re past our peak. I’m not sure what this means for us, whether cases will actually increase now, so perhaps will keep away from the shops and observe.
At least now when I must go to the shops I won’t need to worry whether I’ve remembered to pack a mask in my bag for fear I have to drive home for one.
