I start up Safari on the iPhone this morning, the 1Password extension instantly pops up to demand my attention: Authenticate! Umm, okay. So, I enter the login details and secret key info and am presented with a second request for the two-factor authentication code. I grab the code from Authenticator and paste in: rejected. Hmm, maybe it timed out? Grab again, paste: rejected!
Coincidence I’m thinking not, so I decided to open 1Password and check to see if I’d added a one-time code for the login, it exists. I grab and reattempt: rejected. Surely they cannot reject their own code? What the heck?
Dr Google, what’s going on here? Their website suggests checking date and time; mine is set automatically to Perth, Australia so I’m sure that’s fine, plus Authenticator is used for 2FA with my employer every work day without issue. I’m thinking this has to be an issue with 1Password so have submitted a help request, be interested to see what they suggest.
