When buying my Google Pixel last month I also got one of Google’s standard cases to protect the phone. It is nothing to write home about to be sure but gets the job done. I was surfing the web the other day when I saw a Pixel case from Belroy, a brand I was familiar with for compact wallets, so was intrigued to look further.
A leather case, no bells or whistles, such as one of those hidden credit card sleeves you sometimes see, but several colour options. In the end I went with the cobalt blue, though it was a close race with the sage as to which I’d go with.

I chose to pay using Google Pay as I was ordering via my phone, all seemed to go fine until the following day when I received a request from their support team. For some reason i was asked to supply photo copies of my license and credit card, though the latter I could at least blank out all but the final four digits.
I’m confused why? The credit card is only recently renewed and has plenty of credit remaining, so is Google Pay an issue? Or was using an email address i rely upon when unsure of the vendor might spam is the issue? I never experienced issue when ordering on iPhone, so this experience doesn’t fill with confidence.
