Buggy screen brightness

Google, I wonder if you might fix an annoying bug on the Pixel, automatic Screen Brightness. Unlike when using the iPhone where the screen brightness will generally remain relatively stable, on the Pixel it jumps annoyingly all over the place, from barely readable to normal.

I got sick of the situation last week and turned the feature off, however, step outside into bright sunlight and you have a completely unreadable screen as it cannot adapt. So, back on, and search the internet for a solution.

What I discovered was going into a dark room, then resetting the feature to factory settings, some suggested this worked for them, sadly it hasn’t worked it for me, it has continued jumping all over the place.

I can but hope Google might be working on a fix with a future release that ultimately resolves this.
