I’m one for frequently checking whether there’s been any app updates on my devices, typically on a daily basis on my phone.
On the iPhone the updates to these would sometimes be lengthy, I have just a few apps, so developers pushing it updates could see 10-20 a day most days. These could get painfully slow some days, I thought it our internet connection which is only 50Mbps, however, seems that wasn’t the case.
My recent decision to upgrade to a Google Pixel 6 saw the need to also install updates, including applying system updates since the phone’s original release. I’ve noticed when updating apps within the Android environment that these progressed far quicker than they did in iOS, so the limiting factor back on iPhone was Apple not our connection after all. This environment is really appealing to my impatient self who dislikes waiting intently.
