I’ll just wait

Just before I purchased the Surface Pro 8 I upgraded the Surface Pro 7’s operating system to Windows 11 Professional as these stupidly ship with Home. I was wanting access to Bitlocker on external storage devices which isn’t supported with Home edition.

Then, buying the newer Surface Pro I instantly regretted that upgrade as I now wanted that upgrade on this machine. Microsoft doesn’t make moving the upgrade easy, and as I’m finding today, getting support from them is just as difficult. I booked a support request via their website at 8:36am and was told I’d have an astounding 102 minute wait; dreadful!

It’s currently 12:17pm and they have not called, not updated me to say when I might get my call to just transfer the license. Almost 4 hours! Ridiculous. As though I have nothing better to do than sit around and wait for their call, awful service Microsoft!!
