Since COVID-19 reared its ugly head two years ago now we’ve sadly seen the negative effects of stress coming out in people. It’s been most apparent when lockdowns hit and suddenly there’s a mad panic as people rush to purchase every last scrap of toilet paper, packet rice and other key staple; logic has left the building.
Same too people’s reactions being “jabbed”, some even considering it a tracer strangely enough. Those opposed might get themselves the annual flu jab, and understand why it’s had, but for some reason when a pandemic hits that has killed millions around the world and continues to sprout more variants of increasing and varying virulence they’re up in arms and even prepared to throw away their livelihoods.
One of my cousins in the east coast of Australia is currently infected with omicron, so to a majority of her family. Thankfully most were already vaccinated, though some are sadly too young as yet to qualify for their first jab until next month. We’re all feeling for them as they battle this.
I hope we might someday soon see the light at the end of the tunnel so a sense of normal might return, whatever that happens to look like 🤷🏼♂️
