On the flip side

As a kid I spent the first few years of my life growing up in Sydney on Australia’s east coast. We left when I was around four years old, and returned briefly, before ultimately deciding Perth on the west coast was for us.

Though I’ve visited Sydney to see relatives and as a tourist in many occasions it remains foreign to me, only a vista or something I see on the TV. I was recently contacted to consider an opportunity that is based in Sydney’s CBD, close to circular quay, working as a software developer. I had never contemplated leaving WA for work, so to be approached by a recruiter for this opportunity has taken me aback.

There’s much to consider, and I must say it does excite. I’d miss friends and family I have here, but grateful I have family there so it wouldn’t be no one I know. Just waiting to hear more.
