My latest unit has been a busy one with assessments occupying much of my time. Learning how to (ethically) hack into computers for the first time took quite some learning, some tasks proving quite difficult to achieve, and yet others blindly obvious.
Back of mind whilst doing this was my knowing I needed to prepare and submit my application to Australia’s Defence Gap Year Program. Such a great opportunity, get mentored by someone within the industry and draw upon their experience as you prepare to enter, plus other benefits like contribution to your fees and conference attendance.
No idea how many of these they offer each year, but I hope I communicated passion enough for the area. It’s not always easy to do for someone who isn’t used to talking about themselves.
