Not being able to eat somethings you once ate sucks, but those side effects you’d get if eaten outweigh desire, most times. Saturday, I decided to just give in, just this once, and buy a ham and cheese croissant.
I’m reality, the only thing I might eat in this meal normally might be the ham. I’m not even meant to have the croissants nowadays given low fodmap, however if you’d have seen the gluten free versions of these you’d never eat them ever again, they’re awful, though I’d use that for gluten free generally.
Thankfully, my transgression didn’t result in my usual rush to the gents half an hour later. I was feeling a little tender for having eaten the melted cheese, but survived unscathed, this time. Phew. It was so nice to have it. I’d just love a slice of cheesecake, but this I don’t dare try 😭 as I figure that really would be pushing it.
Sometimes it’s just the little things that make you happy.
