Having migrated over the weekend to a MacBook Pro with the M1 processor I also needed to update my version of Windows to that of Windows 10 Arm edition, available via their insider preview program. I needed to migrate the Windows license I’d used on the old Mac to this, however got nowhere and had to phone for help.
Sadly, I got someone who struggled with an English speaker and I with he, we got nowhere fast, and he palmed me off to an Australian number, which Microsoft has since decided to remove support for; wonderful. I try to use their help.microsoft.com site as suggested, I’d rather call back and reattempt as it was useless.
I don’t want a new license, hopefully a call when I’m on leave next week can resolve.
My experience with the new MacBook Pro M1 is it’s nice and quick. Rosetta 2 has translated the odd app that I can see, I’d never know other than its initial start up is very slow, but subsequent is like the rest and speedy. Amazing what such technology is capable of, isn’t it.
