Ever since buying the Mac mini for my Cyber security studies I’ve been sharing the mouse and keyboard with the MacBook Pro, it’s annoying as hell. The need to plug a lightning cable in to swap them around machines just gets all too hard (I jest).
So, decided to hit the stores today in search of something cool to purchase for the MacBook Pro that wasn’t from the Apple stable as I’m sick of their stupid mouse, it is so jerky on various systems here and at work I just don’t want to invest in another inferior device. I decided it would be either a Microsoft or Logitech device as each offers some reasonable choice and stylish items to boot.
Logitech firstly, bulky and not so many in either of the stores that I visited today. I was taken aback how few there were on offer, most just looked like cheap garbage you get in a two-buck store. Microsoft ended up having a greater range, and in the end I went for a rather funky looking Bluetooth mouse, Arc.

The Arc is compact but comfortable and has travel and Arc modes, being bent when you need to use and flattened when ready for travel and into the bag. Powered by two AAA batteries, it’s rated to last up to six months on these, I’ll believe when I see it. So far it is reasonably comfortable to use, though I do miss some of the Apple mouse functionality you get used to; I’ll adapt.
