Hi-Fibre, Zero Taste

From today I’m on a special diet till Thursday in prep for a medical procedure. They’ve specified foods I must not eat beforehand, and some I am approved to eat, which includes white bread.

Typically I buy a dark German Rye bread from my local supermarket, it has this malty flavour to it, especially on day one that is amazing. So, to have to forgo this for plain white bread just kills. Begrudgingly I did so today, and on mum’s suggestion I bought one that was a hi-fibre loaf so I might get something worthwhile from it. Only thing, it was so bland, how is it that people buy white bread, it’s awful.

Thank heavens it’s only till Thursday.

I’m also grateful they said I can eat chocolate biscuits; I bought the store out!
