Apple has today launched Fitness+ with the launch of updated versions of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and watchOS. I’d updated all except my watch when I went to access Fitness+ on one of my Apple TV boxes, it requested which watch I was wanting to work with, after which it insisted I needed the latest to interact.
After updating the watch, which seemed quicker with the iPhone 12 Pro Max by some margin, I was then able to access. I decided it had been a while since I bothered with the gym, I’ll be honest to all including myself – I prefer walking. So I decided I’ll start my program from their beginners program.
The first routine was a ten minute program mixing lunges, chops, leg raises etc to develop flexibility and strength. I quickly learned my yoga mat on it tiled floor slips, works best when doing push ups or laying atop but lunges not so much haha.
Hopefully my exercise bike will come soon, will be good to be able to add these exercises to my routine too, I was always rubbish at them at the gym. Practice makes perfect (or better)?
I think for people like myself who only want to improve their fitness, or for whom COVID is imposing lockdown right now, this is another useful service to help develop or maintain our health and fitness for a really reasonable fee.
