I’ve been working from home now for weeks, with this cane a definite change in how my work day panned out. At work my day would involve occasional meetings, getting up from the desk to make a coffee or to assist members of the office with problems they might be experiencing.
Since working from home, all meetings are done via Microsoft Teams or Zoom, requests for assistance are via Microsoft Teams, though I do still have to get out of my chair to make a coffee. I’m finding the length of time I’m now spending in my office chair is impacting my back injury and I’m having to remember to do stretches throughout the day to help.
I’ve also worked out how one of the lever on my new chair works, I had thought it went back and forward, nope, it goes up and down to engage and disengage the chair’s ability to recline. I’m finding disengaging the recliner occasionally helps as does making sure I make time to get outdoors and walk regularly.
