Docking my Mac

Today, I finally headed to JB HiFi to purchase a mini docking station for my MacBook Pro that might allow me to hook both external monitors up. I’ve had this with my work Dell laptop since working from home, however it’s one sluggish beast, especially this past week I’ve noticed when working on spreadsheets, it really does not like working with the new 4K monitor – poor baby! I’ve also noticed that the Dell’s video memory is insufficient to run the third 24 inch monitor at 24-bit colour, tripping over this when reviewing our newsletter and thinking something had gone haywire when in fact it was just fewer displayed colours.

My new ALOGIC USB-C Dock is far more compact than the previous dock used, providing support for 2x USB-A, SD and Micro SD card readers, USB-C and HDMI. Hopefully next week my new wireless Apple keyboard will arrive, so the older wired version I’m currently using can be tucked away and only be called upon as and when absolutely needed (see never!).

Just love my spaghetti wires 😥 I live for day this disappears
