This past weekend was an interesting one, not for what I did but rather because I lacked the energy to do much of anything. It’s not the only weekend I’ve been robbed of energy, though it was worse than others.
I’d gone shopping to Kmart, friends don’t die of shock, getting an iron and board and returning home almost immediately. I set myself up for watching some Netflix, there was a few series I was definitely behind on, so viewing commenced. After watching the first episode of Locke & Key I started to feel greatly fatigued, struggling to keep my eyes open, it wasn’t yet 11am, what the heck!
I did my best to stay awake, however within half an hour I was out like a light for thirty or so. I totally recommend this series if you need to sleep, both myself and my supervisor keep falling asleep during for some reason. Over the ensuing hours I keep walking, watching and drifting in and out of sleep.
My struggles continued throughout Sunday as well, and as I tried to finish the same series (good by the way!). As I returned to work Monday I felt drained from my weekend, I was definitely not rested. I’m wondering if now I need to eat more red meat, something I eat little off as it’s not a favourite. I’ve a blood test form from my GP that may reveal, or not, whether there’s any underlying issues there. Would welcome something for sure.
