Edge Browser firming a favourite

Having casually used the Edge browser over the past week across my various Apple devices I am really coming to like it. Over the weekend I set up syncing, though only for my bookmarks as I prefer to store passwords within 1Password, which it happily interfaces with, though the key combination in macOS is slightly annoying to use. Having imported my bookmarks from Safari, and now synced across devices, it was great to finally have a fully usable browser, it’s amazing how crippling being without your hundreds of bookmarks can be.

I think most of all, I am enjoying being able to surf websites that Safari is finding problematic to render presently, namely news.com.au; I actually think this site may be targeting the browser due to its anti-marketing no tracking stance, it’s only since iOS 13/macOS 15 that Safari has had a problem with their site, hmmm.

The speed of Edge is none to shabby either, pages seem to render in no time whatsoever and look very crisp indeed. I find myself using it now as my preferred browser over Safari, something I never managed with Chrome or Firefox, I’m not sure why. Never thought I’d want to use a Microsoft browser again.
