Green smoothie, yum

I’ve always wanted to try a green smoothie, however there’s not terribly many venues that serve these where I live, though hot chips and pizza you’ll find plenty.

Recently I discovered the Health Freak Cafe in my favourite shopping centre, I’d pretty much ignored them as most dishes hadn’t appealed to me, but my increased focus on healthier options had me look closer here. One option I’d enjoyed was their Kale Super Green Protein Smoothie, at $10 it’s not cheap compared to my preferred cappuccino, but it does taste quite good and is filling. Another option I’m very partial to there is their avocado toast (smashed avocado), the bread they use is to die for tasty and I hear gluten free to boot.

Tonight, I wasn’t up for a heavier meal so instead after completing my daily exercises opted to make a green muesli smoothie from my 12WBT program, it includes frozen banana and cucumber, mint, honey, yoghurt, muesli, protein powder and coconut water. The smoothie was so refreshing as result of the mint and cucumber, I really enjoyed quite enjoyed it.
