Feet size 14

Christmas shopping complete it was time to focus upon me. My first purchase was two pair of ripped jeans, something I’ve really taken to wearing lately. After getting home I’d gotten into my head it would be good to have some white basic sneakers to go with my jeans.

Most days I wear Sketchers GoWalk 5 in black that have a chunky white bottom. These are super comfy and ultra light, however they’re not always perfect for all occasions. Other days I’ll mix it with Dr Martens black or gloss red boots. Both boots I had to purchase online as I’m not the smallest footed male at a US14 (EU48), often going in-store here as I’ve done the past few days they just look at me and tell me to look online.

It’s frustrating to say the least, you just want to buy shoes like the guys next to you, however vendors stock so few, if any in your size. Thus, when I’d gotten in my head I wanted these white shoes my task ended up being more difficult than climbing Everest. Even searching online, including Amazon proved difficult, some items were found but not entirely what I was after. It was disappointing brands like Tommy Hilfiger were only available up to the size below my own…. noooooooooo!

I’m now wondering do I wait and see whether stock might improve in the new year, or abandon altogether. I’m thinking option one, maybe they’re depleted by Christmas shopping? Having surfboard-size feet is somewhat a curse, hey.
