You just cannot write this stuff. My pickup upon arriving in Bali was a comedy of errors, with my ending up with the wrong driver. I had thought my holiday back on track at that point, then Jetstar to the melting pot, or rather their pilots union if we are to truly lay the blame. Wednesday industrial action is going ahead and my flight gets cancelled, my only option was to move to today at 6:20pm our face not leaving till the 18th or later.
I rebooked my driver and resumed my now shorter holiday, surely that has to be the end of it all, this comedy must have hit the punchline by now? Nope. My driver didn’t turn up as scheduled today, after waiting patiently for 40 minutes past agreed time I called the company. Another 20 minutes and I was over it, proceeded to the hotel taxi desk and ordered transport.
My fee paid, I was minutes later just about to put bags into his boot and my booked driver actually shows up. I had to contain my rage in telling him politely his services were no longer required, he had been replaced. I later wrote an email complaining about their poor service.
Now, back to Perth and bush fires raging everywhere apparently.
