Summer chillin’

Live in Perth long enough and you experience summer heat. We’re not the hottest place on earth, for sure, but it’s easy to imagine hell might be cooler some days. I recall as a teenager walking in the country town of Narrogin one day, one super hot day that is, just 47 degrees (116.6F) and within a matter of thirty minutes I’d collapsed, it was to much.

Thankfully those days are few, though we do get smatterings off low to mid 40’s temps to make us wish for winter. I have joked with work colleagues today, as we experienced 38 degrees, that as I had to Bali next week it was for some cooler weather.

Are you like me and prefer cooler weather to hot? I don’t know how I might’ve coped without air conditioning, so spoilt!
