Back up

How I wish I could have changed that day we went to the vets in 2006. We were about to leave with our dog, just paying the bill, I went to take the dog outside, my hand looped in his lead, I open the door when he tears out the door sharply jolting my body to the left.

At the time I was fine, but then an hour later things started to reveal themselves, gradually my back started to get more and more painful to the point standing became excruciatingly painful. The following day at work I headed to our on campus doctors for assistance, I could take it no longer. They gave me prescriptions to deal with the pain, but nothing truly helped. This went on for two weeks before someone in the office suggested I needed to see a physiotherapist, that ended up being the best advice I ever received.

Quickly relief came, after two visits the pain began to lessen, and by the third it was now minimal. She was a miracle worker!

Since that day, however, I have continued to experience issues with my back on a regular basis, and this past month I have been dealing with perhaps the longest bout I’ve ever endured. You truly appreciate what those who live with pain on a daily basis have to endure when you yourself go through a period of the same, it’s no fun and not wished upon anyone. How they cope I will never understand, they have my respect.
